You probably watched Tyra Show and Oprah Show sometime in your life now. I'm not a fan of neither of them, but both of them can be interesting sometimes. Sometimes you can learn about strange lives of ordinary people or even health tips by watching Oprah winfrey Show. Tyra Show often shows psychological and sociological experiments about people and prejudice.

Surprisingly, only a few days apart Oprah and Tyra had shows on prostitution. I don't know where the world is going right now but for some reason we have more and more shows on prostitution or something worse.

Prostitution and Tyra vs Oprah reaction to it.

Both Tyra and Oprah had a prostitute on their show. Oprah was more surprised but wasn't judgmental of that woman's choice. Tyra had a prostitute on her show too and Tyra was very judgmental with her words and actions.

They both had shows on prostitution and had completely different reactions toward, but the outcome of the show was the same: many people complained about Oprah and Tyra. They blamed Oprah for not judging a prostitute and giving her too much of precious time on her show. People blamed Tyra too saying she was too rude and too judgmental toward prostitute who had to provide for her baby.

Tyra's judgement

I think the reason why Tyra Banks was so judgmental toward prostitute is to show her it's not o'kay and encourage her to do something different with her life. Maybe Tyra's was affraid if she doesn't say anything bad it would encourage teenage girls to do the same. Most people are judgmental out of fear and desire to be safe. Who knows, maybe for Tyra it was a way to try to save that girl no matter how rude Tyra can come across sometimes. And now people are judging and complaining about Tyra. I don't what I would do in Tyra's situation, more likely I wouldn't air shows like that because I wouldn't know how to react to it or what to tell them.

Oprah's lack of reaction

Many people complain at Oprah too for not being judgmental and encouraging such shows. I can understand why mothers got angry at Oprah, but shouldn't be children supervised by parents what to watch anyway? I am surprised they both air this type of shows during a day but otherwise we can't really ignore it still exists in our society. If want to fix our society maybe we need to have other solutions than just trying to ignore it.

Prostitution?

Maybe we need more shows about how to prevent prostitution and how to make a world a better place. People don't become prostitutes for no reason. If we could help each other and care for each other more maybe there wouldn't be a need for prostitution. Most people want love, power and acceptance in this life to be happy. Some people trying to find it in prostitution or other alternative lifestyles. Also, we always see how everybody judges prostitutes, but what about those men who demand their services? We almost never hear a man to get arrested or being judged that much.

We all have certain views and we are all judgmental in some ways. Oprah and Tyra just added some more fire to the discussion on such hot topic and it's up to you to decide what is your view.
