Is nursing a good career

Nursing can be a good career if you believe it's what you want. The easiest way to find out is to take a few classes and decide if this is what you really want to endure to get through nursing.

Nursing can be difficult. Look for other options first and compare it to nursing, if nursing is still the best choice for you right now, then you can take a 2 year degree first to make sure you like it before you go through all 4 year college.

Talk to others who are in nursing. Nursing can be good with great options. Do you really need money? For example, if you have a rich loving husband to fall back onto, it could be difficult to endure all the hardships of nursing just for the money. But if you really need money and have no other support then nursing can be good for you.

Nursing can be tough

Nursing can be a tough job, so make sure you are ready for anything, but it's possible to find part time work too.

If you are used to a very easy lifestyle then nursing is probably isn't the best choice for you. You really have to have a really good reason to become a nurse or otherwise it will be too hard and you could give up.

If you can't think of any other areas you are interested, if you don't mind trying to please people, if you don't mind hard work at school and at the actual job, then go and try it.

Some people love nursing and love working with people, but listen to your personal needs. You know yourself more than anybody else.

Nursing or not ?

It all comes down to the final decision, yes, you can try. If get a 2 year nursing degree in college, it's a fairly short time and you could always get advanced degree later if you really like it. If not, you could always switch careers and move on to something interesting for you.

Nursing can be a great career but make sure you know all the downside of the nursing profession before you really try it.

Talk to more people and listen to what they tell you. If you meet more happy nurses then good for you, if not, maybe it will give you some idea what to expect from it.

Do you like to work on your feet all day? Do you like to be nice to people? Do you like to please others and do you have good social skills? Listen to your heart and make final decision. If nothing else ignites your desire as much as nursing, then go for nursing.

If you take some nursing classes and you have to deal with blood and shots, you could find out sooner if you can actually psychological deal with all these procedures.
