If you want to be popular among friends, what does it mean? It means that you want respect and attention how people treat you. You want to feel important to those people in your life and you don't want to be ignored. If you go around and tell everyone how great you are, people will just think it's weird you are so disparate for attention.

The key to become popular is to let people know about your great skills or abilities but don't yell it out on every corner. Let them discover peace by peace and they wold be impressed what an interesting life you have.

First of all, you can't impress just anyone. If you have something that they value or don't have, they would be attracted to you. If you posses some characteristics that they wish to have, you would be more attractive in their eyes.

If you want to fall in love with someone you need to meet someone who holds the same or higher value than you. People are attracted only to those who are perceived important and valuable in their eyes. If you will be honest with yourself, you will understand that something is important to you (example: education, social status, money, sense of humor, looks, dependability, religion, moral values).

People usually aren't attracted to someone who they don't respect or have low opinion about.

Once you decided what you like in your partner, go to those places, meet people who have characteristics that you are attracted to. Have hope and don't give up, enjoy the experience of dating, meeting new people even if it will take awhile for you to find what you are looking for.

Work on your social proof too.

The more people think you are important the easier it will be to convince someone else that you are so great.

If you have a great talent or certain skills that most people perceive valuable, it will be easier for you. No one wants to hang out with people who always complain and trying use others.

Many people use their financial success, great job to increase their popularity among friends. If you have a wonderful job, own a business or famous, it would be easier for you to impress someone who doesn't have it. It will make you look more attractive and popular.

You need to find out what impresses the people you are trying to attract, then let others know indirectly (spread the word, mention something and etc) so they know that you possess those qualities.

If someone holds a higher value than you do, it would be harder to impress that person. Rich or famous people aren't going be very impressed with your job or income, so choose carefully who you are trying to attract in your life.
