Wanting just some affection, wanting a nice word, or pet on the back, kiss on my cheek or just cute words. Refusing to give affection is a sign of control and power. People who aren't comfortable with nice words and affection, people who rarely say words of appreciation and verbally abusive are controllers.

And I happened to like this controlling guy. He is short and thin but can be intolerably rude. Did you meet people who are hard to please? Then he is one of them and I was attempting to please him. Trying to please someone who doesn't want to be please, trying to love someone who doesn't want to be loved. Trying to be affectionate to someone who just wants to be left alone isn't always easy.

The only power I have is a sexual power and he isn't always receptive to it. Men who are single for long time, men who are afraid of being close, men who aren't very affectionate can be very dangerous to women.
